Diet To Protect The Liver And Prevent Lipoma

Many people strongly believe that food plays a major part in the formation of lipoma lumps. By eating properly, consuming the right food types and avoiding foods that are unhealthy, prevention of new lipoma in the body is entirely possible. In fact, consuming the correct food types has been known to cure existing lipomas.

A strong and popular theory suggests that the main reason that lipoma lumps form is due to a weak liver. Pressure can be put on the liver by eating too much junk food and other unhealthy foods, making it harder to perform all of its functions properly, and therefore increases the possibility of lipoma growths.

The key to healthy eating is to eat a balanced diet of foods containing protein, carbohydrates and good fats, with a working knowledge of the correct amounts of each.

So what foods are good and bad for a healthy, properly functioning liver?

Good:
• Berries
• Sugarcane
• Guava
• Bran
• Cabbage, carrots, celery.
• Cottage Cheese
• Green tea
• Brown rice
• Brown bread
• Fruit juice, including orange, pineapple, apple, sugarcane and carrot

• Fried or fatty foods
• Junk food
• Hard boiled eggs

Lipoma And The Liver

Lipoma lumps are just benign tumours that contain fatty tissue. Although a definitive reason for the growths is unknown, many people think that lipoma formation occurs when the body cannot handle excess amounts of fat, and this fat deposits itself in different areas of the body, appearing as lipoma lumps.

To understand why excess fat forms, will require some knowledge of how fat should be processed by the body.

The liver and the pancreas produce juices that aid digestion, secreted into the small intestine through ducts. The juice produced by the liver, bile, is stored in the gall bladder until it is required by the small intestine to assist digestion.

Where this is thought to be applicable to lipoma formation, is that the bile produced by the liver is responsible for breaking down fat in the body, and issues will arise if the liver is unable to produce enough bile or the gallbladder is unable to transfer enough into the small intestine. This will result in the body being unable to digest or break down all the fat. In such instances, many believe that the excess fat that is unable to be processed due to the lack of bile is deposited in various parts of the body and starts to form lipoma lumps.

The concept does seem to be logical and easy to understand, so a healthy and fully functioning liver would seem to be essential in preventing lipoma lumps, as well as overall well-being. It is important to understand the liver and how it functions before fully understanding what weakens the liver and what causes it to produce less bile.

This is just a brief summary of the importance of the liver:

Controls levels of fats, glucose and amino acid in the body.
• Fights against various infections in the body.
Clears the blood of various infections including bacteria.
• Produces bile to digest fat.
Protects the body against dangerous effects of drugs.
• Protects the body against various other toxins.
Breaks down and regulates hormones, including sex hormones.

How important is that!

However, there is very limited understanding of the importance of the liver, so it is not surprising that not enough care and attention is paid to protecting the liver. This is a vital organ, which can often be overworked with the poor diets of today, environmental toxins and hectic lifestyles.
